At Lead Discovery Center GmbH, we specialize in translational early-stage pharmaceutical drug discovery and see ourselves as a unique bridge between academic basic research and the pharmaceutical industry to bring innovative research results into application.
As a Communication & Content Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for developing and implementing our communication activities. Your focus will be on positioning our brand in the public eye, increasing engagement with our target groups, and consistently and effectively disseminating our messages across various channels. Specifically, this includes:
- Strategic Communications Planning: Developing and implementing communications and PR strategies to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and reach.
- Content Creation & Management: Creating, editing, and publishing high-quality, relevant content for various communication channels (e.g., website, LinkedIn, press releases, blog posts, social media posts) while adhering to editorial standards. Monitoring and analyzing communication activities, deriving optimization measures.
- Media Relations: Building and maintaining media contacts, assisting with responding to press inquiries, and drafting press releases.
- Website Management: Designing, maintaining, and further developing our corporate websites (possibly with CMS) to ensure a modern and user-friendly online presence.
- Editorial Support: Providing editorial support for internal and external project materials and collaborating with scientific and administrative team members.
- Research: Conducting literature research on relevant material, particularly in scientific databases (e.g., PubMed), and preparing the results for communication purposes.
- Contribution to Scientific Events: Planning, organizing, preparing, and executing symposia.
Your profile
We are looking for YOU, a communication-savvy personality with a passion for language, design, and digital media who wants to significantly shape our communications strategy.
- Professional Experience: Several years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or marketing, ideally in a dynamic environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Education in the life sciences field or pharmaceutical research (MSc, PhD), with a passion for writing and communicating complex topics.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven experience in developing and implementing tailored communication strategies to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Language Skills: Excellent German language skills (native speaker or at least C2 level) and very good English language skills in both spoken and written form are essential for this position. Strong expression with a keen eye for detail and editorial standards.
- Writing and Review Skills: Extensive experience in writing texts as well as strong editing and proofreading skills for communication materials.
- Work Style: High motivation and the ability to act proactively in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Software Expertise:
- Reference Management Software: Experience with reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, EndNote) is desirable.
- Microsoft Office:Proficient use of common MS Office applications, particularly advanced knowledge of PowerPoint for creating and revising compelling presentations.
- Adobe Creative Cloud: Skilled use of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign and Illustrator, for creating high-quality graphics and layouts.
- Web Knowledge: Experience in web design and website maintenance, ideally with a Content Management System (CMS).
- Personal Strengths: Excellent communication skills, good sense of language, creativity, organizational talent, strong interpersonal skills, and a strong team player mentality for collaboration within an interdisciplinary team. You work precisely and have an eye for detail.
