Your mission

  • Synthesis of Novel Organic Compounds for Testing as Potential Active Ingredients
  • Purification of reaction products (e.g., column chromatography using automated flash systems, preparative HPLC, recrystallization, etc.)
  • Identification and purity determination of final substances (e.g., LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR spectroscopy, etc.)
  • Detailed documentation of experiments
  • Maintenance of equipment within the area of responsibility and taking over assigned tasks in the laboratory

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician or equivalent
  • Understanding of basic organic reactions and processes
  • Practical experience in an area of organic chemistry desirable (e.g., syntheses in the milligram to multigram range, inert conditions, low-temperature reactions) as well as in analytical techniques (NMR, LC-MS, GC-MS)
  • Experience in purifying organic substances using conventional methods (column chromatography, preparative HPLC, recrystallization, distillation)
  • Experience with laboratory equipment beneficial (microwave, H-Cube, etc.)
  • Commitment and enthusiasm for solving problems that arise
  • Excellent teamwork skills and willingness to learn
  • Good computer skills (MS Office, ChemOffice)
  • Good communication skills and good English language skills
