Your mission

  • Independent planning, execution and evaluation of experiments in the field of protein chemistry and antibody development
  • Transfection and infection of mammalian cells
  • Expression and purification of proteins on a laboratory scale
  • Implementation and optimisation of assays for the characterisation of antibodies and antigens (ELISA, FACS, SPR etc)
  • Cloning/provision of different antibody formats and CDR libraries
  • Close collaboration with other groups and external partners to achieve common goals
  • Documentation and presentation of research results at internal meetings
  • Management of the protein and plasmid bank

Your profile

  • BTA/MTA/biology laboratory technician specialising in cell biology, molecular biology and/or biochemistry or a degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacy or a comparable subject area  
  • Experience in antibody development and characterisation, ideally in an industry-related environment  
  • Sound knowledge of molecular biology and cell biology techniques as well as protein biochemistry
  • Experience in the application of methods such as hybridoma technology or recombinant antibody production
  • Independent working style, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office software (Excel) is an advantage
  • Independent and reliable way of working
